These terms govern your use of Tango Maps, including the website at tangomaps.com, the dashboard and the map tile service at cdn.tangomaps.com (together, the "Service"). Tango Maps is operated by BeKind Software SA de CV ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it.
1. Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure: anyone who can read it can sign in to your account. You are responsible for activity in your account and for keeping the information in it accurate.
2. API keys
- API keys identify your account when your applications load maps. Each key only works on the domains you list for it, and localhost is always allowed for development.
- Keys are meant to be used in web pages, so they are visible to visitors of your site. Domain restrictions are what protect them; keep your list of allowed domains accurate and revoke keys you no longer use.
- Map loads made with your keys on your allowed domains count towards your usage, including loads you did not intend. We may revoke or limit a key that is being misused.
3. Plans, usage and billing
- A map load is counted each time a map is initialized with your API key, that is, each request to the TileJSON URL. Panning and zooming within that map are included.
- The Developer plan is free and includes 50,000 map loads per calendar month. When you reach that limit, new maps stop loading until the next month starts or you upgrade.
- Paid plans (Growth and Scale) have a monthly fee, charged in advance, that includes a number of map loads. Map loads above that amount are charged at the overage rate of your plan at the end of each billing period. Current prices are listed on our pricing page.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes, which are added where required.
- You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your account returns to the Developer plan. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, we will retry it and let you know. If it remains unpaid, we may move your account to the Developer plan.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next billing period.
- Enterprise plans are governed by a separate agreement, which takes precedence over these terms where they differ.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- download, scrape or store tiles in bulk, or use them other than to display maps to your users (normal caching by browsers and map libraries is fine);
- resell, proxy or redistribute the tiles or the Service to third parties;
- get around API keys, domain restrictions, usage limits or tile signatures, or share keys outside your organization;
- load test, probe or disrupt the Service without our written permission;
- use the Service for anything unlawful.
5. Map data and attribution
The map data comes from OpenStreetMap, available under the Open Database License, and from Natural Earth. You must keep the "© OpenStreetMap" attribution visible on every map you display. MapLibre shows it automatically from our TileJSON.
Map data may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Do not rely on it for navigation, emergency response or other uses where an error could cause harm.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service fast and available, but the Developer, Growth and Scale plans have no uptime guarantee. We may update, improve or discontinue features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance.
7. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, fail to pay, or put the Service or other customers at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Mexico, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
